Where is angrathar the wrathgate in wow

After waiting a while and with no messages coming up, I took the portal. Tirisfal is still empty and UC is full of the rebelling Undead led by Varimathras etc. I am guessing I have problems because I have not finished this entire questline I finished the Return to Angathar bit but went no further - however I have nothing in my quest log and no shield of Bolvar.

I did submit a ticket but never heard back. All positive suggestions gratefully received! Comment by Hey i cant take the quest from her i am friendly with wyrmrest but i cant take quest for it. Comment by If you've lost the chain here, as I have, the pre-requisite quest is On Ruby Wings. The very start of the chain is Into Hostile Territory. The entire quest line can be seen at WoWwiki. Comment by Hallrik As of 4. Comment by HaddonEast Great shame that Reborne from the Ashes has gon, I have looked forward to this with every character since my first, after the cinimatic which is great has finished you are now left dangling realy, bit of a anticlimax.

Comment by I don't know if this is a bug or something but i can tell you what happened to me so far: I am on alliance site by the way. I did the questchain very quick, but suddenly after the cinematic, Alexstrasza won't give me any quest. I think of finding the shield returning it to King Varian Wrynn and so on. The cinematic worked well at the first time and also when i talked to Alexstrasza, but she might be some sleepy, she denies to give me any quest If anyone knows something about it, please help me!

Comment by orhan Why is it that after the movie, I can't take the quest from Alexstrasza? Comment by orhan Why can't I get the quest from Alex after the movie? Comment by I just finished up this part of the quest on my alt and was excited to continue on to Undercity. Much to dismay, I find out the remainder of the questline has been gutted from the game.

Shame on you, Blizzard. Comment by Flamewolf No longer available to finish the undercity raid part of it sadly Comment by Dalylah I just found out this is no longer available while leveling an alt. I understand why this has been removed, however I have to say I am quite sad since it was not only fun but interactive with lore. Hopefully they turn it into something you can experience similar to or even in Caverns of Time.

Comment by I need to say this, and here is as good a place as any. The long explanation. I just did this quest chain for the first time as an alliance toon, and got to this part of the quest. And the cinematic is still cool, the great dragon queen is here with her consort, and everything is still on fire as always but That's it. Story line OVER. Without the next few quests, there's a LOT of dangling problems here.

I'm no red-shirt guy , but storyline wise this has created a huge consistency problems. Not to mention that Alexstrasza atill beckons you to come ot her, but only to re-show you the cinematic. This ending is, well, unsatisfactory at best. The lack of an epic quest like " Battle for Undercity " aside, the storyline as it is now is just lacking.

Honestly, it wouldn't take much for Blizzard to have made several workarounds to this whole thing. I'm going WAY far out there, bear with me. We can start with a lampshading of the chronological problems of Northrend and Outlands.

This would be pretty simple to address, simply have a keeper of time on the docks and the zeppelin bays. They could explain that it is of vital importance to go back in time and assure that things happen as they need to happen in the past to preserve the future. Problem solved. Heck, make it a plot point where you HAVE to talk to the keeper of time before you can go in there, at least then it's a speedbump that everyone slows down over and those interested could READ it.

Second idea would be a simple phasing issue. Phase the world for the player so they could do the last 5 quests of the chain, including battle for undercity.

THEN add one more quest at the tail end, reporting to a keeper of time, and they could simply "correct" time, and you'd be back in Cata world and happy to know that you preserved the timeline as needed.

And this could be done raid-party style in that "you begin this last part of the chain, you may not do any other quests until you are finished. You could talk to her it? Third is just a storytelling issue. If someone handed you a copy of, oh I'll choose something properly geeky here, "The Empire Strikes Back" and the last 20 minutes were removed, then a lot of "Return of the Jedi" simply wouldn't make sense.

Ok you get the idea. They could have found a better way to wrap up the loose ends other than hacking them off with a machete. That's all I'm saying. And yes, I CAN do better, thank you for asking. My JOB is to write schlock like this, I can do it in my sleep. I call those my nightmares. Blizzard has told me they don't want decent writers, so heck with them. And if they steal this idea, they could give me some game time as a thank you, but I won't expect it.

Seriously, it was the quest you looked forward to doing. You worked your tail off, grinded through almost two dozen quests to get there, and it was a quest you FELT like you just changed the world by completing. Their forces intend to storm into the Citadel.

It is commonly here where characters with the exception of death knights will have their first direct encounter with the Lich King and the " first act " of the expansion will culminate. A major quest chain exists involving the Alliance and Horde forces garrisoned outside the Wrath Gate.

To activate this chain, several other chains in Dragonblight must be completed. Upon the completion of these quest chains, players can watch a cutscene depicting a great battle at the Wrath Gate. This cutscene can be repeated by speaking to Alexstrasza who can be found along with Korialstrasz standing on the fiery battlefield. After completing these quests, the player receives [ Veteran of the Wrathgate ]. Upon completion of the Battle of Angrathar the Wrathgate, the region is largely depopulated, but those remaining are still screaming from the effects of the battle.

The Wrath Gate is crafted to look like the Helm of Domination. The cimematic was wicked awesome, and then getting up close to both Red Dragons Korialstrasz and Alexstrasza The Life Binder - I'm just geeking out - and nearly speachless. This is THE moment in this game for someone who has read most of the fiction.

Kudos to Blizzard! From Gunu of Staghelm! Comment by slowcom Great cut scene and great quest line but I have a question. Why is Arthas so big? Hes HUGE! Comment by Plus you even get a mention of Broxigar : This quest line brings the game to a whole new level. Truly EPIC! Comment by I love the chain. I'm going to do it with all my toons. I have made a mistake of thinking that movie was the last part of chain, and today I went to Orgimmar to kill Thrall for For The Alliance!

As soon as I entered city, I couldn't see anyone from the raid, all horde npcs stopped attacking me, I couldn't attack anything. It was supposed to be for next part of quest where you need to visit Orgrimmar to talk to Thrall, but its bugged so even without a quest I couldn't do anything until I finished quest line.

Comment by FranklinNoble This quest alone is worth the price of the expansion. It's dramatic, powerful, evocative, and really pulls you into the storyline. The phased questing that Blizzard has so masterfully implemented here really gives a feeling of a fluid, moving plot line. It is a welcome change from just having a static world where nothing changes in between content patches and expansion packs. I would love to see more like this. Comment by The cinematic blew my mind!

From the Horde lending a hand, to the Lich King staggering away, and the majestic dragons soaring down from the horizon Comment by When finishing the last quest for the achievement: Return To Angrathar. Please pick up the next quest Reborn From The Ashes from the big red dragon Alexstrasza the Life-Binder who stands in front of the gate. I did not, and came up with the problem not to see Horde players in de big Horde cities Orgrimmar and Undercity.

I am Alliance. The guards will not kill you. You can also not kill them. Even the bosses inside are not killeble. So impossible to finish the achievement For The Alliance.. Comment by I went to captain adams and private casey alliance and they both didnt have either of the quest that send u to Stars rest and for private casey i did all the quest from Thassarian.

Comment by While obviously the movie at the end is epic beyond epicness, i believe it was dragged down a little bit. I think Highlord Bolvar Fordragon is a pretty cool guy, but, his lack of a helmet made me momentarily falter in my awe for the whole movie.

You see, when they do the close up on his face as he yells at the Lich King, I had to giggle a little bit at the his cartoony facial features inherent to the game. If only they gave him some sort of sweet helmet. Saurfang Jr. Either way, much epicness was experienced, and i look foward to facing Bolvar and Saurfang the Younger as bosses in Icecrown Citadel you know thats what's going to happen. Comment by Senala Srry to say it, but I found Wrathgate sort of disappointing Comment by i completed the quest the lost courier and i got another quest traitor and treason and when i clicked accept it say's : u already completed it.

Comment by When the cinematic began to load up I was convinced the game had crashed Comment by Redhood I had chills coming up on the back of my spine! I love some lore in the gameplay, GJ Blizz!

Comment by Truly one of the greatest cut-scenes ive ever, well seen. But, i noticed something, during this epic battle Bolvar and Saurfang speak to each other, does this mean that either Bolvar can speak orcish or Saurfang can speak common? Im speaking purely from a lore-ish kinda view, not saying anything bad about this truly awsome video, its just food for thought.

Comment by can someone post the quests for the alliance side of the questline, please? Comment by quebmb To anyone alliance side who is saving their ability to go to Org for fishing for old crafty ie not completing the quest to go to the next step so you can talk to Jaina to open a portal for you again whenever you wish be wary. This also affects your ability to raid Thrall for the bear mount. I have been doing just that. Going to Jaina for a portal to the empty Org zone so I can fish for old crafty when I have some spare time.

Last night I was invited to go on a raid for Org. Upon running there to the back door with the rest of the raid everything was normal, however upon entering myself and the other healer in the raid 'phased'. The rest of the raid disappeared though we could still see their dots on our mini map and we were running around in the empty org instance with no players and NPCs not attacking us Neither of us knew that being on this quest would affect the 'real' Org.

We thought the quest just took us to another instance of the city for the quest purposes. So just FYI don't try to raid Org if you are still on this part of the quest. Comment by zayd Like an idiot I watch the sequence on youtube before doing the questline. Please all, don't make the same mistake as me! Comment by triggz Arthhhhhhhaaaaaaaas! Went back to watch it again and made it through it only for wow to actually crash with a fatal error.

But thanks to deathknight. Comment by Worth stating again: This was a fantastic cutscene, and the lore was great :- Maybe a real movie one day One can only hope. Comment by Veecious Late to the party, but I'm just completing the questline and let me tell you: this is the achievement you want to get. This questline is a whole new level of epicness. Comment by socalheel my friend told me about this movie scene and told me i HAD to get it but he failed to tell me what it was called or provide any information other than "Quest in Dragonblight.

Comment by such a badass cut scene. Comment by Effectrix Though I doubt someone will read this, do not begin the last group of quests if you still need to start or finish quests with Varimathiras.

He will disappear after The battle for the Undercity is completed. Comment by Also enemy commanders in alterac valley speak your faction's language, another absurd thing is that forsaken cannot speak common, as they were human after all. Comment by Waterseeker Most awesome quest chain ever and the cinematic was just awesome. I should also note that you can get behind the gate of the wrathgate the place the Lich King comes from by flying over it and down.

Comment by Well, from a horde point of view, the end of this quest line and another cinematic I saw, I have concluded that King Varian I think its spelled right is a jerk.

Comment by does anyone know if there are more cut scenes like the wrathgate. Comment by RobertM Okay, to those who say, "Most awesome cutscene ever. Blizz themselves have done better. It was good and a welcome and unexpected addition to WotLK, but it was not that amazing. IMO, anyway. Mass Effect , for instance, blows this away on a regular basis.

If you haven't seen it, do yourself a favor and check out The Old Republic's "Betrayal" cutscene. It's amazingly epic. Comment by Plague Great cutscene! I have not been playing WoW for that long so I don't know what has gone on in the past, but this was awesome. My main toon is a forsaken and my absolute favorite part of this scene was when Sylvanas forgive me if I spelled it wrong showed up and said "Death to the scourge and death to the living!

Showed the true nature of the forsaken and exactly why I choose to play one. Yes I realize my mistake after doing the quests in UC after getting the achievment. It was the apothecary that was at the wrathgate and not Sylvanas. We'll see him in Icecrown Citadel. Then i saw the dragon queen, asked her to tell me what happened, and nothing, just a tiny fps lag, where i suppose the game tried to launch the cinematic, and obviously failed.

I watched it anyways youtube , and i agree, was awesome. Luckyly I came here to find out Comment by wildowned Can anyone link me a script there the undead dude says: Death to the Scourge!

And death to the Living! Comment by Lumineaux I giggled when I saw Gamon's silly self in the middle of the crowd complaining to Overlord Runthak in the phased Orgrimmar. My first instinct was to kill him, but alas, I am saddened to get 'Invalid Target' when I try to do so. Comment by Dragoonman Erm, wtf are those blue vyrkul that come out screaming and pwning?

Rather, ive never seen them before. Comment by I failed at this. I am an ally and when you were supposed to kill all those things in the crypts I gave up. It was too hard! Comment by Ok 2 things. First thing is that if you are any level over 72 and havent done this quest go slap yourself in the face and go do this quest right now.

About the language discussion and such I think its simply all NPCs have a sorta universal language, like how all horde can speak orcish or all alliance can speak common. Comment by go to the tbc dungeon old hillsbard hills instance in caverns of time and you learn all about it. Comment by Guys, if you have the achivement, you have to continue to undercity. Cuz you will come in the middle of UC with all the guys.

And the lifts are sabotaged so u cant get out. Comment by psytropic21 i found that the battle of the undercity on the alliance side is a bit easier that the battle on the horde side you only have to face 2 on the alliance and 3 on the horde though i have to admit that the worm sucked to fight a lot more than the ones on the horde side because every few seconds the worm will ingest you in which you cant attack or cast spells.

Comment by Random I just thought I'd post the transcript of the cutscene since nobody else posted it. The video of the actual cutscene may be found here. Alliance Soldier 1: Highlord Bolvar! Thank the Light! Alliance Soldier 2: For Lordaeron! Alliance Soldier 3: For the Alliance! Bolvar roars as he and his men charge into the undead. Highlord Fordragon: Back, you mindless wretches! The gates open and Scourge vrykul, shouting in their native tongue, charge out as the lesser undead fall back.

Highlord Fordragon: Fight on, brothers! As the battle continues, Dranosh Saurfang observes the conflict from the ledge of the Kor'kron Vanguard overlooking the field and raises his axe to rally his soldiers. Dranosh Saurfang: Rise up, sons of the Horde! Blood and glory await us! Back at the battle, Bolvar glances up at the sound of an orcish horn and Dranosh shouting "Victory or death!

Dranosh Saurfang: Lok'tar ogar! For the Horde! Bolvar and Dranosh fight side-by-side. Highlord Fordragon: I was wondering if you'd show up! Dranosh swings his axe, killing three undead vrykul in one slash. The vrykul forces dispatched, Bolvar and Dranosh approach the gate with their combined army grouped together behind them.
