I first heard Gotye when my niece played it, since she was a kid I showed her music, now she gotye me to investigate. Amazing voacals. Although i hadnt heard of him untill his break out hit "somebody that i used to know" I am such a fan of his music and style. He opend up the doors to Kimbra too, both of witch are amazing artist.

Ive been on here about 3 hours and all I have found is more of his music that Iam mesmerized by. So did i hear "somebody i used to know" and this is the second song i am hearing from him Been a fan of Gotye since this album came out, glad to finally see him getting the fame he deserves.

The music is louder than his voice. Well I dont know that much about the third album either, but yes that was what I meant. He obviously didn't play them all at once if thats what you mean, but he did produce, record and play ALL the instruments for all of the songs on at least his first and second album, not sure of the third.

I think Gotye got this album name and alot of his sound from Crowded House's "Woodface" album, Which is great. I love this guy. Best thing to happen to new music in a long time. It's almost as if "boardface" implies there's a "face" on the "board".

I'm drunk and listening to a mix of gotye and kimbra Woah, so dark. But I like it ;. A pure mix of darkness and sexuality somehow. And I agree with this song being perfect for vampire movie :. Well that's not entirely true. Many of the sounds you hear in Gotye's songs are samples that he finds and tweaks them for his own sound.

What is truly amazing to me is that most of his songs were not recorded in a studio, but in the various places he has lived including apartment, bedroom, and his parent's barn such as with Somebody That I used To Know. Being able to get a clean recording like that by his own doing makes Gotye a truly unstoppable force. Of couse he had to have other people playing the instruments for the song because then it wouldnt really sound right without all the right instruments.

He cant sing AND play all instruments. The people gotye was with probably werent even famous, just helping not even apart of NO band of his out the songs. Like geez you should have faith in gotye to be a fan or believe he composed and played all music in his songs and videos. Well, because in concert he would not be able to play all of the instruments simultaneously I think force of nature describes him perfectly, just discovered him a hour ago and can't stop listening Lost In her face, Caught On the thought of a taste, Sold.
